I've been wanting to do a blog for a while now as a way to capture all of the little things my boys say and do that I want to remember and as a way for our family to keep up with all that's going on. After a busy weekend with out-of-town work events both days, I decided that today's the day!
Guess what I missed on Saturday as I'm sitting through a never-ending budget discussion at the board meeting? Bryan sends me a text that Tate, now 3 1/2 months old, can roll over with no problem! What?! When did that happen? All of my endless hours snuggled up nursing that sweet little boy and he rolls over for Daddy on Daddy's first full day of keeping both boys without me!
Bryan also tells me this morning over breakfast how smart Cooper (age 4 1/2) is - as if I didn't already know {read: PROUD MAMA}. Bryan was preparing to take them to the park on Sunday to enjoy an amazingly beautiful fall day and told Cooper that he needed to feed Tate first. Anxious to get going, Cooper suggested they could just bring a bottle with them. Bryan said he didn't have a way to keep the bottle cold. Cooper suggested he just bring a cooler. Wanting to just take care of this one minor inconvenience to fun at the park, Bryan said he could do that, but then he wouldn't have a way to warm up the milk. Thinking long and hard about this dilemma, Cooper says, "Daddy, you could just sit the bottle in the sun at the park to warm it up."
Yes, Bryan. Why didn't you think of that?
Welcome to life with my boys.
